Make sure to choose your option: Diode only (or) Diode + HeatSink
Diode for keeping voltage off the XLR charge connector port when charge/discharge wires are in a shared configuration. Or for other use cases where voltage needs to be blocked in one direction.
I recommend that all builders use diodes and heatsinks to protect the batteries, especially in cases where you have not adopted a unique charger wiring port.
Diode only is best for lid or controller box mounting, where the Diode + HeatSink can be strink wrapped and secured down inside the box. Personally I have been using the Diode + HeatSink and not bothering with lid or controller box mounts for it, but just use double sided 3M tape and apply a bit of hot glue in addition to ensure it doesn't move.
